Off The Grid

Off the grid, solar passive architecture is often a passion of ours. We love the challenges of steep sloping sites, near impossible driveways and framing vistas beyond belief.

• Solar Passive: Perfectly orientated to follow the sun paths, with roof pitches compensating for the harsh Australian sun.

​

• Hidden: With a major tourist viewing platform behind the block, we wanted to hide the house away from view as best as possible, so that even with visitors, it always felt secluded. 

​

• Raking: High ceilings aren't ideal with off-the-grid designs, but flat ceilings are often boring. A striking raking roof line needs a raking ceiling. 

​

• STATUS: Currently on hold due to global pandemic.
